This is a boat bed that I completed in November 2016. We finished this on a Gray Lacquer finish. To distress it we did some wormholes and rub throughs.
We build these with either drawers or trundle. This customer choose to a trundle. We also added a pair of lights to the headboard with a push switch. Also in the headboard we drilled two 1 1/2” holes for alarm clock or other chords to pass.
The bow of the boat is a toy box. Some of the safety features we put on there is a lid support to protect those fingers and vent holes to protect those little brothers from being stuffed in there (I was a big brother once).
The last extra we put on here was the pair of porthole one each side. Normally they are added to the the siderail, but these were added to the bow.

That’s a great idea. I use to get some of my best sleep in a boat while fishing. Nice work and lots of storage.

WOW! awesome bed and storage capacity. I like those theme beds. Great ’’boat’’ look- rounded windows are my favourite.

Just going to catch a few zzzz’s!
Maybe as many fish as a real boat too.
Neat idea and well done!
