Had to wait until today to upload this as it was a Valentine’s Day gift for the better half and I just couldn’t trust you all not to tell! ;-)

This is bowl number two done with just a scroll saw and a lot of sandpaper. I also figured out one thing I can do a LOT more easily than a wood-turner – an inlay on the bottom of the bowl! I know is IS possible, but with this method it is WAY easier.

The bowl is mainly figured walnut with a rock maple heart.

Since this will not see any food contact I was able to use Danish Oil to really bring out the grain of the walnut. The pictures don’t do it justice.

Dimensions: 7” diameter and ~6” high

Very cool and great execution. I love the way the heart “pops” out of the bowl. I’m sure it will be loved!

Very cool non turning, If there’s a will there’s a way. Beautiful piece.
