Finished building this a couple weeks ago but I just got around to putting the sealer on the stone tonight. I think it came out looking very nice. The wood is knotty alder finished with BLO and ploy. I have never done a frame and panel with an arch like in the center. Not hard just new. Style matches the coffee table and side tables I designed and built. The fireplace is electric and puts out enough heat for our living room.

Is the TV okay with the heat from the electric fire? I have been thinking the space over my gas fireplace would be a great place for a tv so i was wondering?

A very attractive piece.
Well done.

Very nice looking fireplace mantel—I really like the arched center!
