I’ve made several of these little rocking chairs for gifts for my contemporaries who are blessed with grandchildren. For the one pictured I used oak and walnut for a good buddy’s grandson a couple years ago. I use dowels and plugs, no screws, usually finish with a light stain and three coats of polyurethane.

Great looking rocker. I bet they loved it. The pics are a little dark & a front view of your nice work would be good.
