This is a simple Step Stool Project I did with my students as a entry level Woods I project. For the project I had them use Pine as the materials, do the measurements, cut the shapes, rough sand the pieces, and finally assemble the project. For the most part this project is basic joinery, edge and but joints, glued and finished nailed together, then final sanded to a 220 grit finish. To finish off the project, I allowed them the choices of stain and varnish, paint and distress, or any other suitable idea for final protection and appearance. All in all, this was a neat and fun little project that did not break the bank or take that long to build.

Something easy, something quick, something very satisfying.

Tools used:
Compound Sliding Miter Box
Table Saw
Band Saw
Palm Sanders
Finishing Nail Gun

Nice, simple but they got exposed to woodworking and that is a good thing. I took one class in High School, still have that project after all these years. Little worse for the wear but hey I built it.
