I promised myself that I wouldn’t do project posts for a while, though I was doing it too much. But these tables and my best friend Andy changed my mind. From the first time I sprayed the first coat of lacquer I thought it looked like tiger stripes. Basic farmhouse table design with the 2 center sections storing inside the table. It’s 97” long, 43” wide and 31” tall. I used the gear-driven slides to make it easier for 1 person to use. Putting the alignment pins in right was my most difficult task.

A second table going to the same people,

It’s 72” long, 42” wide and 31” tall. Solid top.

Both are Beetle Kill Pine.

Thanks for reading and all comments and suggestions are welcome.

I really am trying to control myself. :-)

-- Nature created it, I just assemble it.

Looks quite nice, Monte. As for posting projects, post as many as you like. It’s one of the ways folks like me get new ideas on how things can be made.

Looks like they’d both be at home along side a brindle hide on the wall or floor, Monte! Beautifully done, sir!

Both are wonderful, but that extending table top is remarkable.

I remember when you were struggling and lost your barn. Now I’m seeing you evolve in your own style. I’m thinking you are a happy camper Monte. And you have happy customers. You’re going to have to hire help and just design Monte Pitman furniture pretty soon. :<)
