This box is a Valentine present for my wife. After putting on the finish it just looked like it was dripping with chocolate. So I put Hershey Kisses in the drawers and strawberries in a bowl before showing it to my wife. She knew I was building this project but the Kisses surprised her. 30 Valentines together and a Kiss still puts a smile on her face.
This box is made of walnut and finished with a coat of de-waxed shellac and three coats of tung oil. I put blue flock in the drawers. I got the pattern from “Scuplted Band Saw Boxes” by Lois Keener Ventura. This box is called “Ophidian.” I added the bottom box out of scrap from the upper box so the chocolate flows all the way down.
Cheers,
Mike

Mike:
Beautiful Piece Of Work Mike! Besides the WOOD …. I see a Lot Of Love having gone into the construction process. Not To detract from your Project but ”Thirty Valentines together and a Kiss still puts a smile on her face.” ....PRICELESS!!
