Garage door

So the town told me I had to move my deck it’s too close to my property line, I wanted to redesign the backyard anyway so I told them rather than move it I’ll take it down. Now I have all this wood and I needed to put it to use. To get into my garage we had an old door that had termite damage, (it was on my list to replace). Plus my nephew broke two of the glass panes with his football and I just replaced them with plywood temporarily. So why not build a door rather than purchase an overpriced door and replace it. I added a window but used 1/4” plexiglass, harder to break with a football. I was going to paint it but I couldn’t bring myself to hide the handy work. Unfortunately it’s the best door in the house so I guess I need to make two more, glad I got the wood.

Looks very well done. Very solid. Hope you get a new deck.

Nice work, sucks that some town dictates how we have our yards and such.

Beautiful work. It amazes me that people think your crazy when you make things like this rather than go buy it. I often tell people….....”SOMEBODY made the thing you’re gonna go buy…..why don’t you just make it.” You did a great job on this. Shame you had to tear your deck down but you turned it into a positive!
