Made from 1/4” baltic birch with pine faces. Actually, this is somewhat of a project in progress, since the rails are plain douglas fir and a bit on the ugly side. And as I need more bins I will build more and just add to this setup.

I saw this one and thought about using it. I’m curious, how time consuming is building the individual boxes?

Great job! I was wondering if you had considered using the “French Cleat” method and if so, are you able to get more boxes hung this way? Thanks for sharing Woodbear.

I made these same bins about 15 years ago and still use them today! Nice job.

Dannyboy—The boxes don’t really take very long to put together with the jig setup made for them. I went ahead and posted a couple more shots of the project, including the box jig. As you can see the dadoes are 1/2” for the small and large bin backs as well as the bottom. the fronts of both sizes is the same so the bin fronts dadoe is 3/4” and a little deeper than the backs and bottom. Pretty simple really.
benchdog600—Being new to woodworking I don’t even know what the “French Cleat” is. The rails that the boxes are mounted on have a half inch by 9/16ths rabbet that the backs slip up into making them easily removable. Also very easy to add more rails and bins up the wall as far as I want to go.
Thank all of you for your kind comments and thanks for visiting.
