Oak frame, cherry drawer fronts, and maple drawers. Blum slides inside, so the drawers open with a soft push. Took me long enough to finish this one, but here it is.
thanks for watching and commenting. Usually I have taken more pictures, but maybe this time the (incremental) progress was so slow that taking photos never seemed justified.
Anyway, I added some photos that I took just now. I also added the two pictures that I had took during the actual build.
I had great plans for the drawer fronts (similar to my “propeller shaped credenza”-project), but eventually realized I would never finish this. Instead I went for the simplest possible shape, but chose different wood to add some chatacter. As a result, I have three beatiful and thick oak planks as left-overs. Waiting for inspiration. I would love to do more of these projects, but I’m strapped for time. I’m sure many of you can relate to that.

Beautiful, that grain that continues all the way across the front really makes this piece … Love it. And the joinery looks good from over here.

I agree, more pictures, including of the interior would be awesome and helpful to folks like me! fantastic work on the continuous grain on the front. I’m currently tackling a somewhat similar project. how thick did you make the frame?

Beautiful modern design. I like those clean lines. I made similar project for my home too. I aimed to more clean lines like yours but ended up with something else.
