This is a small shadow box displaying the USS Harry S Truman’s battle flag. Give’Em Hell came from Truman’s 1948 campaign speech.

The wood of choice is Sapele and finished in General Finish Arm-R-Seal.

Great! Anyone would love to have that on their “I love me” wall. How did you do the lettering? Classy look you pulled off. So many of these military shadow boxes of over done and too large. Not this one. You have done a first rate job shipmate.

Roz,
I agree with you. I prefer the more traditional, simple styles too. I did the lettering with a Carvewright machine. LA…..I was born and raised in Birmingham. War Eagel.

One of my nephews currently serves aboard that carrier as a Nuclear Machinist’s Mate. Very cool!
