More Cocoa Pods

we are getting specialized in these pods!
another organization asked us to make these two cocoa pod chests, boxes (?) for some chocolatiers that come from Switzerland to a cocoa conference here in my country.
we usually made these but just the pod, and smaller, like 5 in long, these are 10 in long.
they have small magnets to hold the lid in place and mostly we used mahogany.
And the sanding of these was a hell of a thing, Chris(my Cousin) spend like 2 days hand sanding them.

Thanks!

N.

What a great looking box Nayo. I like the shaping, you should take the jump into intarsia after tackling this project!

Thanks,
i wish i could as intarsia is something I really like doing, sadly people here don’t consider this art and they wont pay for it, I do want to do some projects on my own and hopefully I will.

sadly i did not take photos of it, just these two, we made 10 wedges on the band saw and then joined 2 at the time to make easier the sanding, we used bicycle tube to clamp the wedges as no normal clamp worked for me.
you can see in one picture background some wedges.
