Project Information

Well I've been buying a few old saws here and there and I didn't really have a place to put them. Well I had a few nails all hanging them all over but that wasn't ideal. So I picked up a recent issue of popular woodworking that had a plane/saw till plan in it and decided to build the saw till half. The material is all rough home center pine that I planed and jointed with corded devils. The jointery is all by hand. The case is dovetailed and the shelves are all dadoed using a carcass saw and router plane. I still need to make a couple drawers for the bottom but that can wait since it's on the wall and stuff is out of the way.

And that'll do the job just fine! Nice work, holds a bunch of saws, and puts nails out of business. What more could you ask for?

I like that idea. Looks real good. I may have to use that idea some day. Thanks for letting us see it.

Nice Saw Till.

Here's another idea that requires less wood.

That's pretty cool too. I picked the one I did because I wanted drawers where I could store my saw set and files with the saws. I'm also going to hang the saw vise off of it somewhere.

That's a great idea, sure beats hanging the saws on a nail.
