Made out of flame elder and measures 11 1/2” X 5” X 3 1/2”. Finished with Howard’s wax on the outside and Danish oil on the inside. The handle was not an idea until I had finished the box and it just looked like it was missing something. I think it worked out well. This will be added to my stockpile of gifts for Christmas. As always, thanks for the looks and comments.

Very nice. Love the handle. Not ready for Christmas yet.

-- Nature created it, I just assemble it.

Beautiful! Love the way you carried the grain/markings around the box.

Beautifully done following the burled grain. You sure have some cool flame box elder.

I was worried that you were bleeding all over the wood, but upon closer inspection I’m really impressed with this. Nicely done!

There is much to like with your creation. The grain match, the hinges and that gorgeous flame lumber. I really like it.
Thanks for posting.

Jaykaypur, the wood is lovely, and the box design is unique in the hinge and handle department. It is a rough beauty, but it does a nice job of showing off the wood. Keep boxing and keep posting.
