Welcome to suburbia, a townhouse with a great walk-in closet but a strange 48” wide by 24” deep wasted space that was typically used for stacking boxes just outside of it. I created a makeup vanity with upper cabinet to still give some storage back. Complete with wired under-cabinet lighting and recessed lights above. (yes I did the wiring too)

The client’s style is quite eclectic so I created a somewhat traditional design with elements of the Arts and Crafts and Japanese influences. Hand cut dove tails were reversed from the normal pin on front to break up the lines of the very straight grained Red Oak used in the pieces. Recycled bronze pulls were added to the already Green, FSC certified lumber as per my only way I do custom work. The finish is a combination of Tung Oil with a Soy-based Top coat.

Nice job. I like the matching grain on the drawers AND the dovetails. Looks great!
