Here’s a small desk that a client wanted. Maple. They wanted black. Not my first choice. Hides the wood and is somewhat hard to get a nice finish unless you are spray. For some reason, it seemed like I made every mistake possible. It’s my first real piece of furniture.
Anyway, it’s done and I just need to polish the top a little before I deliver it to my client.

I agree with you about black. Nonetheless that is a very elegant looking piece. You did a real fine job.

Agreed. Black wouldn’t be my first choice either, but it really is nice looking and I’m sure the client will be very pleased.
