I thought I’d post a picture of some of the cutting boards I’ve made this year. I’ve given away several to family members and I usually sell a few as Christmas gifts. I use a good bit of Walnut, also Maple, Wenge, Purple Heart, and Cherry. I usually do these between everything else there is to do so it often takes several weeks to complete 2 or 3 at a time. Each step is satisfying, but then pouring on the mineral oil for the finish always makes me especially glad to have invested the time.
