This is set of handstand blocks for my friend – she teaches yoga, and does some acrobatics.
Apparently, blocks of different height need different muscles to get onto, so this set includes interchangeable pipes of 4”, 8” and 12” length. Some people say that sloped blocks are easier on wrists, so I included and mounted those too, in addition to the flat ones.
The blocks for each hand have individual bases, so people could adjust the distance between bases to match their shoulder width, which is critical (in other words, I didn’t have exact measurement of my friend’s shoulders :-)).
The bases are made of white pine, stained with red mahogany oil-based stain, finished with three layers of satin wipe-on poly and layer of wax; blocks are made of mahogany, also stained with the same stain to get exact color match; finished with wipe-on poly and wax as well. The floor flanges and pipes are regular steel 3/4” hardware from HD plumbing department – I have removed their lousy black paint with paint thinner, then spray-painted blue all metal parts, including screws.

These are awesome. Newbie here…not sure if youd be interested in making a selling a pair (just the wood/hand blocks only…not the stand parts)
I’ve been looking for these and they are oddly hard to find (just the hand part).
Thanks
Have your say...
