Great job!!! I may build one as well, it is a great design and your wood choices set it off beautifully.

Very nice! I agree with Turn, the wood choices are fantastic and I love the design and finish. What are the dimensions? Welcome to LJ’s by the way.

Very nicely done. I love the wood combination.
I have the same magazine and I have that page/project earmarked to make a box for my grand daughter.

Nice job! My wife spotted the same box in the Wood magazine and said she wants one. I guess it’s my next project. I hope mine turns out as nice as yours did.

i like it too – the woods are nice as well, the cherry is not as stark a contrast with the maple as walnut can sometimes be.
i’d also like to know what magazine, and what the approximate dimensions are.

WOOD Magazine had the plan and called for the Cherry & Maple. I happened to have both in my shop, soooo…., but I agree with Aaron, Walnut would be very nice. I may do one if I can scare up the Walnut. As I recall, the dimensions are roughly 7”x14”x7” Thank you all for the nice comments and encouraging words.
