This is my first project. Basic box design is from a Popular Woodworking book I picked up. The wood is Poplar. I finshed it with with linseed oil and paste wax. Now on to something a bit more complicated.

Is that the 21 boxes book? I started my way through that one years ago… and have been meaning to get back to it.

Looks good. Should last a long time.

I’ve yet to meet a box I didn’t like. I hope to see you make more boxes or at least more projects. Just a warning though, if you continue down the road of boxes, they represent most of the skills necessary to building anything. That is, if you can build a complicated box, you can build anything. But the biggest risk is how addictive box making can be. Did you ever hear of someone addicted to making … err, well maybe it’s addictive to make anything out of wood. Enjoy the ride!

Best,
