When we remodeled our bathrooms, we could not find a nice unfinished wood cabinet that did not have a mirror on it. Since the cabinet would be on a wall that would make a mirror useless, I had to improvise.

The cabinet is basically built around the door. Shopping at Surplus Warehouse for the vanity, I came across their stack of slightly damaged and not quite completed cabinet doors. I glued the cracks back together and finished the router along the edges. The box of the cabinet then had to built to accommodate an opening that the door would cover. The inside is birch plywood with oak face for both and stained to match the decor in each bathroom. The faces of the shelves were ripped from a threshold that was removed during our remodel. I have no idea what type of wood it is, but the grain is beautiful.
