Edit: Fixed some typos & added two more pictures showing the cornice/side details and base detail.

This is the biggest piece of furniture I have tried. It’s a triple bookcase for the formal living room. Comes apart into 5 pieces – 3 cases, the top, and bottom – so it will fit through the door. The two center stiles are attached to the outer cases; when the three cases are pulled together with through bolts, the joint with the center rails is tight enough that you really can’t tell unless you know. Shelves are adjustable. Made of solid poplar and birch plywood, painted to match the planned trim color in the room.

The only problem is I think I should have made it four cases for all the books I have!

Since you do have a lot of books, another bookcase is definitely in order especially now that you seem to have mastered the disign and build!

Waiting to see #4!

Thanks! I’ll probably wait until this one fills up before I add some more. I’m planning a couple of Shaker candlestands next, one for home and one for my office at work.
