Very nice!! Was just thinking this week as I looked at my cheap, and rather unappealing color, tissue box that I need to make a cover. After seeing yours, I am adding this to my “to build” list. If you have more pictures I would love to see the sides and joinery.

I know its a simple box, but it’s pretty slick. Nicely done!

That’s wonderful. Just goes to show, you can never go wrong with walnut!

Nice looking box, but the lighting in the photo makes it hard to see anything but the top of the box and the background.

I’m sure it’s just open on the bottom, no?

Those splines on the bottom look deep, I’m guessing you had to trim them off on the inside? What is the thickness of the wood?
That looks like some excellent walnut, beautiful craftsmanship!

Yes the bottom of the box is open allowing a standard tissue box to fit nicely. The wood is 1/2 thick and the bottom spline had to be trimmed a bit on the inside. Thanks for all the comments :)

Very nice box. It’s on my ’’wanna do’’ list for a long time. My only question is – how you refill it? Is there removable bottom?
