I am a carpenter and have always wanted to turn some of the aged wood that usually ends up in my dumpster into wood collages. This was my first attempt. I have a lot of ideas of what to do with these. This was just a quick bare bones attempt to see how it went. It is about 13” wide and 30”’ tall. The pieces alternate between 1/2” and 3/4”. Hopefully more to come.

I think this looks great and a good way to reclaim wood
3D or tactile wall treatments are all the rage in retail and in home decor so I think could take off in the right place

Thanks or the nice words guys. I hope you are right gsimon. The was made out of some very unglamorous wood with not much put into design or detail and I felt it achieved a decent look. I think there are a lot of options. We will see what it brings.

I think this is a great idea for my basement when I finish it. Maybe the bottom half of the walls in the bar or the bar itself. Thanks for sharing. What a great look.

Nice.
Might do a vertical one. Or, how about a diamond. Possibilities are abundant. Just keep posting as you complete them. Intriguing idea.

Good use and great results with what would ordinarily be trashed.
