Some of your members have asked me," Where I buy the Plans," for my Aussie Big Rigs

The answer is a simple, ” I design my own Big Rig Woodworking Plans,” as I have not found any decent realistic Big Rig woodworking plans anywhere,- although Toys and Joys Plans are good, they do not have have the finer detail that my clients like on my wooden models here in Australia.

  • My Aussie Big Rig plans are promoted in The Australian Woodworker Magazine, while the English, ” Get Woodworking,” Magazine has arranged for one of their project writers to build an Aussie Big Rig from one of my Plans,- but for some reason, with all your USA Magazines I have approached to date,- I simply get the cold shoulder, or told my Plans are not suitable for the USA Market.

If any of your USA members would like to have a go at building one of my 1:20 scale Aussie Big Rigs, complete with trailer plan set, ( normally separate plans ), simply message me.

great job. Have you tried setting up a store on ebay or etsy for those of us here in the US so we can buy them that way. Just a thought. Would love to try making one of these… if I had the time.

I do love your models and the detail and craftsmanship that you put into them. Do you start with good photographs and key measurements of certain reference parts and then go from there?

Helluvawreck,- Actually I mostly work from the original Truck Manufacturers sales brochures, & specifications, artwork, & where practical good photographs of the actual truck/s that people ask me to design & custom build for them. Sometimes I spend many hours just researching a particular type of truck for a customer, especially if the brand is no longer available.

I also have a natural gift called, ” Technical Drawing,” which many have said is a rarity nowadays, as most people rely on their electronic brains to do it all for them.

CowanNavy,- Yes, looked into Etsy, Ebay, & other sites,- Unfortunately me & computers are NOT very good friends at the best of times,- basic typing I don’t mind, but for adding photos, well If it don’t work first time I dump the site !!!

All my plans are drawn onto A3 size paper, ( Like the Toys and Joys Plans ),- and are heaps more detailed,- some plans have 20 x A3 pages to them,- which is why I would prefer to have someone in the USA import the Plans, & publish them under Copyright License, and they pay me a pre-set royalty per plan sold.
