The sides are Walnut
The top and bottom are Ambrosia Maple
Finish is several coats of MinWax Tung Oil
Outside dimensions 6×9x5(h) inches
1/2” box joints, top/bottom float in dados, hinges open just past 90 degrees and are made from ambrosia maple with bamboo hinge pins

everything looks great but the hinges are my favorite.

Charlie, I like this box. The hinges are great…good design there. You have made a fine, straight-forward design and a very solidly constructed project. Keep boxing and keep posting.

I love this box, your wife must have been over the moon with it. I see all those intricate joints, I am planning to try joints on my next project and am dreading it but maybe I will practice a bit before I start.

-- If your going to your mums.... can I go in the shed ?
