I’ve been turning for close to two years. These are a few that were within reach for taking pictures. I’ve also made about a bazillion pens and other small kit projects. :)

Photo 1: 14” lipped salad bowl

Photo 2: small turned boxes approx. 1.5” to 2” diameter
maple from the woodpile, acacia, sapele

Photo 3: rustic box used to hold fireplace matches, about 10” tall
made from scrap from firewood. I don’t know what kind of wood this is, but it was HARD and gave me a lot of practice in sharpening my tools.

Photo 4: bowl of “eggs” made from various scraps from other projects.
The eggs are good practice pieces for my tool control, and they make a nice decoration, too.

Great looking projects!

I really like the fireplace matches holder. The firewood relationship is really cool!!

I have tried turning eggs, but they keep cracking.

Great job on all of them. Really like the turned boxes. But I also like the eggs. Wait, maybe the bowl…..I just can’t decide. They are all fantastic.

Keep it up.

Nice work! The box with the bark on it is my favorite.
