Finished with Sam Maloof oil/poly. Traced a design I found online for the tree and then cut it out with the router. The “leaves” turned out darker than I had wanted them to. The glue darkens the fine grit turquoise for some reason and I don’t know how to avoid that. But all in all, it was a super simple project compared to the table I just built. It’s satisfying to start and finish a project within 24 hours!

Beautiful I really like it! I think it looks better with different colored leaves, more visual interest.

Great job! (Just say you made the leaves darker on purpose, nobody will know the difference.) Beautiful wood. Thanks for posting (I might have to borrow this idea.)
