My wife and I are in the process of turning our back yard shed into a real “shop”, and one of the first big upgrades inside was to build a proper workbench this weekend. I followed the lead of this kreg workbench for inspiration. Framing was done with new 2×4s and scrap 2×2s; pocket holes and glue to hold together; 3” casters on the bottom; 3/4” ply for the top and a sacrificial layer of 1/8” hardboard on top of that.

Pretty pleased with the results!

good job on the bench, and grats on a ‘real workshop’! I’m envious!
