Just some little bugs that I cut out on the scroll saw/bandsaw.
Originally they were just for garden pokers(they are painted on both sides), but I have changed my mind and am going to build them into the back of a child’s table and chair set.

I agree with MsDebbie, I think they are charming! Careful about the toxicity of the paint if you put them on stuff for children (I’m sure you are way ahead of me on that)...

Wow, very nice art work on these! With that kind of artistic talent, you’ll be able to make some really great creations.

Thanks, it is just acrylic paint to be covered with a sealant.

These are wonderful! What are the dimensions? I’ve got a plan for a butterfly with cutouts, but I still haven’t decided I have the artistic skills to tackle it yet. Yours are just great!

They are quite small, only about 6” at their longest point. And I’m not really that artistic, just printed “coloring” pages of bugs (you’ll need 2 to do both sides and will have to “flip” one when you print it) just make sure they are mostly a side profile(some were combined from a couple of pics) Then glued the page to a 3/4” piece of pine, covered it in a layer of clear packing tape, and started sawing. To even out the lines and make everthing stand-out I used a permanent marker, I hope that it doesn’t fade funny, but it looks good so far.
Not sure if this is co-sure or not but the pages are to “print and color” soooo….
