After the purchase of my most recent handgun, I thought it would be nice to have somewhere to sit and clean it, so I decided to make a table. The finished product is made out of white pine and is 44 inches wide by 32 inches deep by 30 inches high. I put six 12-inch by 12-inch ceramic tiles in the top of the table to use as my working surface. Those tiles match the floor, since they were left over from when I converted my basement into a family/rec room. Then I made two smaller matching end tables. Those are 18 inches square by 22 inches high and have one tile in the middle. All three tables have a bottom shelf for extra storage. I also made the ammunition box that’s on top of the large table. It’s made out of pine and is hand-dovetailed.

Umm, the 1/4” bottom is what needs cross supports, not the top. Fill with ammo and the top & sides will leave the lead on the bottom when you lift. Esp if the bottom glue is weak.

hey mark, you only see 3/8” on bottom, there is another 1/2” rabitted up inside you don’t see. but thanks for the observation. sheetzy

That’s too nice of a table to dirty up with gun oil & cleaner. Get yourself a cleaning mat.

You forgot an important detail! What kind of handgun did you buy?
