I’ve made about eight of these since the first one I posted a couple years ago. After the third one I wised up and documented the dimensions so I don’t have to reinvent the wheel each time. They’ve all gone as gifts to friends and relatives. These two are spoken for as well. I still pack my beer around in it’s OEM packaging.
Walnut with cherry handle and cherry with a figured maple veneered handle. Finished with three coats of polyurethane.

Very nice. Would you mind sharing the dimensions or plans? I think I would like to make a few of these for gifts.

They look very nice and masterfully constructed !
You should make a couple for yourself then you would have a bottle opener
which does not come with the OEM box .

Scott, the ends are 12×6. Sides are 4 1/2×8 3/4. That’s using 3/8 stock for the box and 1/4 for the dividers and bottom slats. Long divider and bottom slats are 8 3/8 (fit in 3/16 deep mortises). Short dividers are 5 5/8 (again, 3/16 dadoes). End up with 2 1/2×2 1/2 compartments which hold a long neck with about an 1/8 of an inch of clearance. Too tight for a can but I figure if any of my recipients think a can is a suitable beer container they can make their own damn tote.
(adjust dimensions depending on the thickness of stock)

@Randy do a web search for wall bottle opener and you’ll find plenty. Bed bath & beyond $4, Amazon $6 so take your pick.
I really like this too. One thing I might add is a magnet under the bottle opener or a little dish with a strong magnet to try and catch the caps. This is a great idea. Now we’ll see if I ever get around to making one :P

Turning out nice, sounds like you need to mass produce some and hide a set for yourself.

Great looking set of beer totes! They look great, and are very functional, too!

I just happened to stubble across them at a local farmers co-op. Those were the last two I had so will have to find another source.
Mainly beer related situations.
