I have been off from work this week and spending a lot of time in my shop and LOVING it ! These are another version of the Steve Ramsey design. I actually made a template for the top that allows me to rough cut the tops on the band saw then use a flush trim bit in the router table to finish off, perfect pieces every time. Doing a show in August so building up inventory.
Eastern red cedar finishes up nicely. The tops are 12” diameter and there is a 1/4” steel rod in the base that sticks into the ground. Finished with about 4 coats of spray lacquer.

If you need buddies for picnic, just let me know. Very nice pieces. Pretty logical choice of technic to make them – rough cut than flush trim bit.

Those are nice. I really like the cedar. Steve Ramsey’s design is solid and easy to make changes in.
