Tried my hand at making wood countertops and some cutting boards. I’m fairly new to woodworking but have set up a nice beginners shop and am getting my practice in.

Cherry countertops finished with 5 coats of waterlox (3 regular and 2 gloss). They came out pretty well, a few minor things that I’d do differently next time but overall we’re happy we did them for the side, light use counters.

End grain cutting board out of maple, cherry and padauk. Maple was left over flooring (note that it’s doubled up), cherry left from counters, and padauk because I felt like getting fancy.

Long grain small board was just for giggles, thin strips of cherry left over from the counters. It may never get used, but I figured like playing.
