Tried combining turning and carving here to see what was possible with my new skills in each. The wood is red heart with a large clear quartz focus crystal epoxied in the head of the wand. The leaf and vine carving is my own design purposely trying for a rustic look. I chose not the clear coat the handle of the wand so that whoever purchases it can either leather or twine wrap it, or keep it bare for direct contact with the wood. My fellow Pagans will understand the meaning of that :)

Excellent. I like the novel approach of leaving the finishing of the handle to the final user.
Well done.

Great job! With your carving skills and interest in combining the properties of wood, stone/crystals, and runes you might want to experiment with a suiseki (you can google it for a full description).
Love your signature quote – The wood talks to me all the time, and I frequently talk back. :)
Have a great weekend.
