My brother just graduated college and started his first real job several hours away, so he asked if I’d help him furnish his new apartment. I was given no real direction and had free reign over just about everything, so I tried some new things and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Most of my previous projects have been Kreg jigged, so it was nice to branch out into the world of traditional joinery.
It’s all red oak that we’ve had in storage for years, with the exception of walnut for the splines and drawer pulls. M&T construction for the frame. I made simple wooden drawer slides, and the top is attached with shop made buttons.
