The front entry to our house has a big landing space by the front door. It’s not big enough for patio furniture. But any pot of plants we have put there have always looked dwarfed by the space. I finally decided what it needed was a big planter, with some vertical interest. After thinking about it a bit, I came up with this.

It’s 4’ x 2’, and the hanging planter pole is 6’ tall, which nicely fills the space it occupies.

The cat in the third picture is my garage companion. She likes to hang out with me when I’m working on projects, and is completely undisturbed by the dust collector, air compressor, and table saw. Of course, she feels she has to inspect every project I work on.

-- Andy -- No animals were harmed in the posting of this entry, although the terrier next door is living on borrowed time, let me tell you.

That’s a great thing. I still need to make planters for my front porch.

Very nice. I too like the color.
Well done.
