These are some cutting boards that I made as Christmas gifts for the family. The first is made out of Birdseye Maple, Walnut, and Maple. The second is made out of Birdseye Maple, Cherry, and Brazilian Cherry. The last is out of Cedar and Cherry. It is my first attempt at a checkerboard style cutting board.

I finished each with a couple coats of Butcher Block oil.

My family really enjoyed their gifts. Comments and critiques are welcomed as always.

Thanks for looking!

Very nice. I am a little concerned about the one made out of cedar. Really soft wood….may cut up easily with use. Hope I am wrong. And heck, if it does….....great excuse to make another one!!!!!!!!!

Great boards. Like the color and woods. Am also concerned about the cedar one. Hopefully it is more for looks then use.

Keep it up.
