These cutting boards were made from salvaged pallet wood, mostly maple with some cherry accents. They are all finished with mineral oil and then food grade wax.

This was my first experience with book matched woodworking. Because the initial wood was not dimensional, I got extra practice in planning and jointing. Walnut plugs cut from a dowel were added to fill nail holes.

Warning: Do not use random pallet wood for a cutting board intended for food many are chemically treated.
