Set-up blocks are one of the most used tools in my shop. They are top notch quality – but the storage box leaves something to be desired. It is big compared to the blocks, the set-up blocks don’t fit in it very well and it doesn’t want to stay closed.
After watching some videos about small boxes by Marty Backe https://youtu.be/bC5nfZqkcc0 I decided to make one for my set-up blocks.
I wanted something compact that would keep them all together and small enough to put in my pocket. I made it just large enough for the blocks to fit with a little wiggle room to get them in and out. It ended up being 2 1/16” wide x 2 1/4” tall x 13/16” deep and it is made from 1/8” hobby plywood.
I was happy with how it turned out & I plan on making one for the 1×2x3 set-up block too.
