Here’s a few pics of my setup procedure on my new Hafco Woodmaster hybrid cabinet saw.
It would appear the saw was made on a friday by underpaid workers who had been out for a boozy lunch.
The instructions were rubbish, but I managed to adjust everything and actually pull a pretty decent setup.
So I upgraded the belt to a Fenner drives one, aligned the drive pulleys, setup the riving knife, aligned the blade, adjusted 90/45 degrees stops, and adjusted the rip fence.
I made a bunch of zero clearance throat plates which as you can see was a bit more of a challenge than some other saws I’ve seen, so I made 6 of them.
I also installed a custom made large area knee operated stop switch since the factory installed one was about 6” higher than my knee.
Finally, it was time for a well earned beer. I discovered that the arbor spanner made for a perfect bottle opener. Maybe the guys that in the factory were doing some quality control inspections on the bottle openers… I mean arbor spanners when they made my saw.
Check out the workshop part of my profile to see my other toys!

Nice post and great process on your set-up. My only question is the bottle opener a extra option during purchase. Great looking saw stay safe…Blkcherry

The Arbor spanner (bottle opener) comes with the saw.
Such an excellent multi purpose tool!
Thanks for looking and the comments!

Looks like a nice saw. Does it take Dado blades? Full size?

Had I known my wrench doubled as a bottle opener I wouldn’t have had to drank from the can all these years.
