We bought a new dictionary and it just looked like it needed a little something extra so I made a swiveling book stand. Top is made from quarter sawn red oak from an old dresser I salvaged. The rest is from my new oak stock with walnut plugs and a lazy susan bearing. If I had to do it over I would recess the bearing slightly to make it look a little more compact. It also provides a small space underneath for a notepad and pen.
