It’s been a while since I last posted a project. I just finished working on this chess table and set and would like to share it with you guys. The checks on the table are ebony and jackfruit. The border is made from balayong wood and inlayed with amboyna burl. The drawers are of saplungan with ebony drawer pulls. Legs are sculpted from molave while the base is also sculpted from ipil. The ebony and molave pieces took a month to sculpt. It took a while to complete the project but am more than happy with the outcome. Would love to hear your comments on this project. Have a great weekend fellow LJ’s!

Wow. Every single thing about this is awesome. The board is beautiful. The sculpted pieces should be reproduced and sold internationally and the originals put in a museum. Congratulations!
