I’ve been saving this piece of maple with nice color to make a box.
top is figured cedar, hinges thanks to an article about hinges from Fine Woodworking
(Doug Stowe) I think.
Hinge pins, brass tubing with brass ends,
Hinges figured walnut.
Box joint jig referenced earlier for the joints and the hinges.

I can’t decide which part of this box is more beautiful – wooden hinges, fingerjoints or sculpturing. Incredible work.

I really love your box. I viewed your other project boxes and I’m equally impressed. I really like your style and I love those wooden hinges…something I need to do more often. Very nice job!!

Cedar and maple, an interesting combination that you made work very nicely. Wooden hinges are always good!
