ANOTHER BUTCHER BLOCK

A few pictures uploaded of a couple of end grain cutting boards my daughter commissioned me to make for her.
I used walnut and hard maple.
The design came from the Russian MTM woodworking video on YouTube. I had almost zero glue line issues or voids this time, making the project much easier this time around than my prior run. Thanks for looking!

Exceptional! I’ve made many end grain butcher blocks and even taught a class so I have had some experience.. This is one of the best I’ve seen. My compliments.

Looks great. I am sure your daughter will treasure the board for a very long time.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice work! If I ever make another end-grain cutting board, this is the pattern I want to try!

Wow! Glad to see someone making this pattern from MTM Wood. That guy is a machine. I love his work. I’ve watched and been mesmerized by his YouTubes (I also love the music he uses). I wish the videos were a little more explicit in terms of How-To, but it must just be me if you were able to follow the pattern and make the board. I’ll have to re-watch them and see if I can do it. These boards are more art than function. Kuddos to you for doing the pattern justice! Well done.

I am enamored by these patterned cutting boards and this one has a eye catching pattern!
I wonder, when you use this board, if you can cut anything straight without getting lost in the pattern?
