Made from Maple and Walnut for a friend who’s a super fan. A borderline restraining order kind of fan. This is a one off never to be repeated. I don’t want Dave Grohl’s people and his deep pockets coming after me. My pockets are shallow and I have no people.

Sorry you need to explain to the old Scots member what foo means? never heard of that before, beautiful coasters though especially with the upside down old POUND signs, or FF if you prefer great work though. Alistair

Thanks Alistair. Sorry, I forget sometimes that there folks here from everywhere. Foo Fighters is a band. The FF on the guitar picks is their logo.

I thought they looked an awful lot like guitar picks. But, like Alistair, my mind went elsewhere. Say, soccer club? Basketball team? It looks fantastic, Don, and, I’ll say it again: It’s the sort of thing one wouldn’t be surprised to find in a Sharper Image catalogue. With a ridiculous price tag.

Thanks Mark. I did get a request from a friend to do something similar with some memorabilia he already had. Some broken drumsticks he collected as a roadie back in his youth. Could be cool. I’ll see when I actually see the sticks and get an idea what he wants.

This is a cool project. I heard on the radio that foo was either chinese or japanese for fire, and that foo fighters were fire fighters. I could be wrong on the language, but it was an asian language. How it came to be used as a name for a band I’ll never know. A little bit of useless information; use it wisely.

Thanks Mip. I hadn’t heard the asian aspect to foo fighters. The story I heard was it was a term used in WWII by pilots to describe odd things they saw (UFO’s) while flying.

Realy sofisticated coasters. I bet you had a hard time with them.
