This is The Red Tractor. Another Toys & Joys model I have made. This is made of Jarra that gives it the red color.
Tires are ebonized timber. Model is finished off with tung oil mainly to bring out the red.

Super nice.
Really like the flat colors give it that real feel.
Put a picture of some corn fields behind it and it would look like you could walk up to it and drive off.

Looks like an old IH. Well done, like the color.

Nice model and great choice of the coloured timber. You seem to have nailed the ebonizing. I tried it but failed. All I get is a rusty brown stain. Any hints?

I own a 1957 IH/Farmall 300 and that is a pretty close copy. Really good work.

I love the way that you have made this tractor. It’s very realistic. You could put this in the right photograph with the proper technique and a lot of people might not notice that the tractor is not real but a wooden miniature. Congratulations on a fine piece of work.
