I finished my Media Center last week, so here it is. Its half as deep and about 120lbs lighter than the cabinet it replaces. I got the idea from a picture I found on the web of a mass produced one made from particle board. I liked the basic shape and the concept so I stole it and tweaked it, and made if from something that won’t fall apart and look like crap. It hangs on the wall on a simple french cleat.
It covers a power outlet in the wall and I wall mounted my TV at the same time, using a cable management kit to run the cables inside the wall. I really like the light and clean look, and it gives me more floor space and we can clean the floor under it now. No wires visible except for the coax cable coming up from the floor. I’m thinking of drilling a hole under the wall’s footer and running the cable from the crawl space up inside the wall. But for now my copper pot will hide it.
Anyway, I hope you like. Made from Ash, finished with Zar stain and wipe on poly.
Have a great day,
Wayne
