A few years ago a client asked if I could build a small drawer to replace a missing one in a family chest that has been handed down for four generations. I’ve never seen the chest but she gave me the old drawer to have as a guide for the replacement required. It’s been almost 20 years since I cut dovetails by hand, they’re not perfect by any means, but it should help for the age and when she is done refinishing the chest, the drawer should blend in. I used some cedar pieces I had laying around.
