My first turning: Honey dippers

This year I want to learn how to turn. I saw a beautiful maple bowl while I was vacation, and I said to myself that I’m gonna make one someday. I went to a local auction place and picked up old lathe yesterday. I made honey dippers for my first turning project. They are made of maples that I found in firewood bin.

A good start. Woodturning can become very addictive and may require deep pockets. Enjoy the hobby and look forward to more of your work in the future. Keep the first few things so you can look back and see how for you progress
